1 Fun Exercise To Get You A Fit And Toned Body
So you’re working, eating, sleeping, breathing, hobbying, watching your favourite series, talking to your friends and family essentially 500 million things a day but for some reason exercise hasn’t quite made it into your daily or even weekly routine. Don’t worry I’m not here to judge you, I’m only here to help. While in the picture to the left I can be seen in a gym smiling like my whole body didn’t hurt we don’t always have time to make it to the gym yet alone afford a gym membership. Don’t despair, remember this blog is budget friendly and I’m about to tell you how I maintain my physique without the help of a personal trainer or gym membership.
Recently, I found a new way to keep fit that boosts my energy levels and leaves me happier and it’s very simple, it’s called jump rope. It’s my fun solution to burning calories and losing body fat all while toning your muscles.

Before I discovered jump rope I was researching ways I could do maximize calorie burn and it so happened that I came across jumping rope as an option. While I was gym member I do remember seeing jump rope hanging around in the aerobics rooms but I never really thought of how they were used and why but I did have the urge to test them out even though I didn’t.
About a year later it’s been a complete 180o, while at the gym I gained muscle mass; I was happy about that, but I wasn’t losing the belly fat I originally started the gym to lose. Fast forward to present day jumping rope was the solution I needed all along. It’s so fun to do that I’ve committed wholly to revolutionizing my diet which has helped me to see undeniably progress: slimmer waist and flatter tummy. By now you may have realized I am a full on jump rope enthusiast, so much so that whenever I miss a few days of skipping I start having withdrawals.
Below I lay out how I manage to include exercise into my weekly schedule of activities:
How I Squeeze Exercise Into A Busy Lifestyle
- Jumping Rope is so fun it doesn’t feel like exercise (once your body gets used to it) so I swap out an episode of my favourite series and skip for that time instead.
- I work out alongside a beginner’s jump rope workout which lasts about 20-30 minutes but 5 minutes a day is enough to see results paired with healthy eating of course.
- I alternate days so I don’t burn out too quickly and it’s just enough to give me a burst of energy the next day.
- On weekdays I work out in the evenings (as soon as I get home from work) because I am by no means a morning person but you can always opt to do your session in the morning. However, I do complete at least 20 reps of some variation of squats five times a week in the mornings and I’ll kick-start my Saturday with jumping rope as well.
And that’s how I do it. Here’s to exercise another important key to purposeful living and being the best you. Let me know what your favourite exercise is in the comment section and feel free to share your workout routine.
Have a good week!
