Products I Regret Buying in 2018

This is going to be short. I didn’t realize how short the list of products I hated was. Although the list of products I regret buying is short I’m still going to share it with you.

The products I’m about to mention are very different. One did absolutely nothing for me except make my life harder and the other was lovely but my skin just hated it.

Creme of Nature: Pure Honey, Moisture Replenish & Strength Hair Mask

I had high hopes for this product. I saw the rave reviews and endless promotion and it all convinced me to give it a try. Plus, I was a big fan of the Argan Oil collection, especially the shampoo(it even made it to my favourites list). But boy was I disappointed. I can’t detangle with it, my hair doesn’t feel moisturized after. it was horrid for me.

In trying to make it work, I tried deep conditioning before shampooing and that was a little better. My hair seemed to absorb the product then. When I tried deep conditioning after shampooing though the product gave me no slip and detangling my hair took forever. After rinsing my hair my hair felt coated and not very soft. All in all this product didn’t work well for me and was not worth the money. I still have half the jar left with no idea what to do with it.

St Ives Exfoliating Apricot Gentle Body Wash

I’ve been testing out body washes for a while. Some have a been a hit while others have been a miss. As a person who struggles with back acne, finding the right body wash to keep the acne under control is important. Unfortunately, this product did not help with my back acne. In fact, it did one better, it aggravated it. I got pimples bigger than I’ve ever had and they hurt while using this product. For a while, I wondered what the cause was but when I stopped using it my skin returned to normal. when I bought this product I thought the exfoliating apricots would help with back acne by revealing smoother clearer skin but again I was very wrong.

St Ives Softening Coconut & Orchid Body Wash

I like this one. I had hoped it would be a better body wash than the exfoliating body wash but it still irritated my back acne. It smelt great and felt great on my body so it was hard to let go of this one. The irritation wasn’t as bad as the exfoliating body wash strangely. One day I’ll take a look at the ingredients list and see what the difference is between the St Ives brand and the one I’m currently using.

Despite all this, if you don’t have sensitive or problematic skin like me you can go ahead and get yourself St Ives Body wash. They are luxurious, refreshing and have the richest lather I’ve come across.

And that’s it guys, the products I regret buying last year. Do you have any product you wished you never picked up? Let me know in the comments.

Stay grateful.
