5 Ways To Improve Your Productivity

A few posts ago I told you guys about how busy my life has gotten. But busy doesn’t always equate to efficiency or productivity. To ensure my busy life is productive I take these 5 simple steps to improve my productivity:
Plan as much as possible
Create a daily to-do list or plot important dates on your calendar. Planning your days thoroughly will save you time and keep you on track.
For more on annual planning and check out my post on goal setting.
Get your rest
For me, that means going to bed early and getting as many hours of sleep as possible. This isn’t easy though as busy days can stretch into the night and you might not be able to get the rest you deserve.
Starting your day with a rested body and mind will form the foundation for a successful day.
Practice saying no
As we strive for excellence we’ll be offered many opportunities and tasks. You can’t possibly tackle them all. Take a realistic look at each opportunity and assess the time and effort it will take for you to complete. Be mindful of your other responsibilities and make a careful decision. Sometimes no is the best answer for your health and efficiency in other areas.
Set self-imposed deadlines
To maximize every work day, set a deadline for each task on your to-do list. Treat each task as a goal with a specific timeline attached.
Take frequent breaks
When the words or numbers start to cloud together it’s a sure sign it’s time for a break. Taking strategic breaks helps your mind reset so you stay on track and avoid burnout. Step away from your desk, take a walk outside, drink some water and return ready for the next task on your to-do list.
Hope these tips help you have a successful week.

These are some really great tips Candi. I especially like the part about sleep lol. Though I don’t get enough of it. I’ll definitely try to implement more of these tips.
